Dr. Richard Chu is known for his care and love for his patients. He embodies the aloha spirit and goes the extra mile to make sure your taken care of. His great passion for taking care of people has led him from helping his clients reach their personal fitness goals as a certified personal trainer to working as an exercise physiologist helping patients with their rehabilitation from shoulder, knee, hip, and cardiac surgeries. While working at NovaCare Rehabilitation, Dr. Chu’s commitment to his community allowed him to direct the work conditioning program which helped injured workers strengthen and recover from their injuries in preparation for their return to work duties. Since discovering Chiropractic, Dr. Chu has been dedicated in sharing his knowledge on how to unlock the human body’s natural ability to heal itself from injuries and illnesses.
Dr. Chu’s education into the healing arts and into the science of how the human body functions was attained while attending college at the University of California Davis where he earned a Bachelors of Science Degree in Exercise Biology. His interest into the holistic approach and natural methods of healing lead him to further his growth into the field of Chiropractic. While earning a Doctorate degree in Chiropractic from Life Chiropractic College West, located in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dr. Chu was able to explore how the body possesses the natural ability to heal itself from injuries and illnesses.
Dr. Chu, through his years of experiences in the rehabilitation field and being a Chiropractor, believes in the use of gentle but effective techniques in order to restore balance within the body allowing the full potential of the healing process to occur. By utilizing a natural and noninvasive approach to health, and assuring that the whole body is balanced and aligned from head to toe, Dr. Chu learned that the body would heal itself from its injuries and illnesses naturally.
Away from the office, Dr. Chu enjoys spending time with his wife and new Keiki. He also enjoys the outdoors, mountain biking, fishing, snow boarding, the great Hawaiian beaches, traveling, and of course eating good food.
